The task facing Beyond Barriers is considerable and we have acheived a great deal so far. However, over the next 12 months we aim to:

• Hold a "LGBT people in rural Scotland" conference in 2003
  
• Develop and publish training materials on LGBT equal opportunities
  
• Through consultation with LGBT organisations, develop "How to..." guides, on subjects such as writing constitutions, finding funding and working with volunteers
  
• Publish the 2nd Edition of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Connections - A Directory of Scottish Organisations
  
• develop a reliable and up-to-date collection of resources on the issues facing transgender people
