A guide to active citizenship for LGBT people
Get Involved is a guide published by Stonewall's Citizenship 21. Written by Beth Egan and Sarah Lee it fills a void, bringing together in one publication information from an LGBT perspective on how to get involved in a range of activities and areas – from volunteering with a community group to being on the board of a housing association or sitting as a magistrate.
| ... Citizenship is not just about our rights, important as they are, but our relationships with others. I hope Get Involved will encourage you to be involved and take your part in building a society where difference does not mean discrimination and where the dignity of all individuals is respected.
Angela Mason - Former Chief Executive of Stonewall
