Brighton Equality Walk

May bank holiday saw a record number of walkers take to the streets of Brighton to raise as much money as possible for Stonewall and all the work that we do.

Over 300 walkers took part in the 10k which wound round the streets and sea front of Brighton. The walk was launched by Amy Lamé who was ably supported by Big Brother and Gaydar Radio stars ‘Dicky and Dolly’.

Afterwards there was a fabulous post walk party at the bar and club Legends. There was plenty of time for the walkers to relax and enjoy a glass of bubbly, then it was time to announce the top fundraisers as well as celebrating a record breaking amount of over £35,000 being raised.

All money raised will help with our ongoing campaigns to eradicate homophobic hate crime, tackle anti-gay bullying in schools and all forms of prejudice against lesbian and gay people.
