I’m responsible for leading this incredible LGBTQ+ human rights organisation, which is part of a global movement for change. Inside Stonewall, this means working to make sure my talented colleagues can thrive and make a difference to LGBTQ+ communities. Outside Stonewall, this means working with LGBTQ+ activists here in the UK and around the world, as well as with our partners and supporters. Together, we’re building a path towards the world we imagine, where LGBTQ+ people everywhere are free to be themselves and can live their lives to the full.
Before joining Stonewall, I worked to improve outcomes for vulnerable children, for people experiencing mental distress, for refugees and migrants, and for people living in poverty. In the early part of my career, I worked in policy and advocacy roles, and more recently I’ve worked in roles focused on research and insight. It has been a privilege to have a career where I get to come to work every day and try and make society fairer and more inclusive, and to be Chief Executive of Stonewall is a dream come true.
When I’m not working, I hang out with my little boys, my wife and our dogs
