E-learning with Stonewall
Online training modules for school, college, and children and young people's services staff
Stonewall has spent more than 30 years working towards a world where all children and young people have access to an LGBTQ+ inclusive education.
Our experienced team are proud to have supported many primary and secondary schools, colleges, Local Authorities, Multi Academy Trusts and children and young people’s services to challenge bullying and celebrate diversity.
Using our years of experience in training teachers and other staff who work with children and young people, we’ve developed a series of e-learning courses which will equip you with the skills and knowledge to support LGBTQ+ children and young people, as well as helping you to become an LGBTQ+ inclusive service.
Our CPD-accredited e-learning courses are packed full of essential information, practical advice and interactive activities. Complete your course at your own pace and in your own time, it'll take around four hours in total.
At Stonewall, we put accessibility at the forefront of all that we do and want to make sure our learning can be accessed by all. You can find out more by reading our accessibility statement.

The University of Birmingham used the Supporting LGBTQ+ Children and Young People module in a randomised control trial to test its effectiveness in training children’s social workers. Results showed that the module is effective at increasing participants’ LGBTQ+ knowledge and reducing their heteronormative attitudes and beliefs.
After completing the module, 99.5% of participants thought they were better able to support LGBTQ+ young people. Read the report.

I really enjoyed the course and felt the layout was informative and accessible. This course helped further my understanding of LGBTQ+ mental health and what these students face at school.
The facts were really useful, as were model answers and resources that I can take to the rest of my staff when covering this content further.

It was really helpful for me to gain some insight into the mental health issues of the LGBTQ+ community, also to understand the terminology used and how important this is in identity for young people as well as acceptance.
I think that as a school we could incorporate some of these strategies towards being a more LGBTQ+ friendly school community.
